Fast speech: Gonna & Wanna

  • When people speak fast they often pronounce going to as gonna /’gona/.
  1. What are you going to do today? sounds like What are you gonna do today?
  2. I am going to go to the stadium. Sounds like I am gonna to go to the stadium.
  3.  I think It is going to rain. Sounds like I think It is gonna to rain.
  • When native speakers speak fast they often pronounce want to as wanna /wana/.
  1. I want to go now. Sounds like I wanna go now.
  2. I want to see a movie. Sounds like I wanna see a movie.
  3. You want to do some exercise. Sounds like You wanna do some exercise.
